Bradley Douglas, Managing Director
Bradley Douglas started Motion Tronic in 2003 after working in the electronic manufacturing industry for 9 years.
Practising a hands-on approach to the business, Bradley has a natural inclination for developing efficient, innovative solutions to technical problems. This ability is a key reason for Motion Tronic’s success.
In November 2006, Baumuller selected Motion Tronic as its sole authorised service partner in South Africa. In December 2006, Motion Tronic was awarded sole agency for Microsonic products and in 2016 awarded the sole Servo Mold agency for South Africa. These selections are testament to Motion Tronic’s superior offering and Bradley’s commitment to excellent supplier and customer relations.
2003
Motion Tronic is established in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, providing clients with specialised automation solutions.
2006
Motion Tronic secures the agency for Baumüller in Africa, offering world-class electric motors, converters, controllers and software solutions to the African industrial sector.
2014
Motion Tronic becomes the African partner for Microsonic, making German-engineered ultrasonic sensors easily accessible in South Africa and beyond.
2016
Motion Tronic secures the Servo Mold agency for Africa, bringing world-class servo-driven injection mold solutions to the African manufacturing sector.
2022
Motion Tronic becomes the African partner agency for Inovance, a global leader in programmable logic controllers (PLCs), variable frequency drives (VFDs), and more.

INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIONING
Our team will bring our considerable experience and expertise to bear on installing and commissioning your chosen system.
While we’d prefer you to purchase a system we’ve designed for your particular needs, we understand that you may have already purchased one elsewhere. We settle for nothing less than optimal performance in every system we install.
COMPONENT LEVEL REPAIRS
We save our clients money whenever possible by conducting repairs at component level, including PLCs, servo drives and motors, encoders, inverters, and thyristor controllers.
When it comes to industrial electronic repairs, many suppliers would find it easier to replace larger units rather than repair them. That’s not the Motion Tronic way.
SPARE PARTS
As the sole South African agents for Baumüller and Microsonic agents and Phasecon in KZN, we do our utmost to ensure immediate delivery of spare parts and exchange units.
We understand that time is money and that spare parts can make all the difference to getting your production up and running again. On the rare occasion where this is not possible, we will arrange express three-day delivery.
